5. C.J. McCollum (21.9 PPG, 3.9 RPG and 3.7 APG)
Last year’s breakout star and the NBA’s Most Improved Player of the year is just scratching the surface. This season, C.J. is averaging career bests in points, and rebounds. He’s shooting the ball at 43% beyond the arc, taking nearly 6 attempts per game.
The Trailblazers are better than their early record suggests and I imagine a steady rise from this club. Unfortunately, we saw how tough it was for Damian to be an All-Star, and in the West it’s just so tough, especially if your team hasn’t been as good as the previous year.
