2. John Starks (Undrafted in 1988)
John Starks is a freaking NBA legend. His iconic battles against Reggie Miller and Michael Jordan in the playoffs were what he was best known for. Starks was an NBA All-Star in 1994 when his Knicks team made the NBA Finals but fell to Hakeem’s Rockets. In 1997, Starks won NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year. He even finished on the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 1993.
Starks was unique because he played for 4 different college teams before turning pro. His ability to defend and shoot threes changed the game, as he was the first NBA player to make 200 threes in a season. If you watched the 1990’s, you either loved or hated John Starks depending on what team you rooted for, but one thing you can’t deny was how good he was. Truly one of the most under-appreciated players of the 90’s.
